Hardwood Tip #1

Heavy work boots, athletic shoes, and high heels can leave marks, indentations, and scratches on your hardwood floors. And – be careful that high heel shoes are in good repair where the heel contacts the floor. Measured in pounds per square inch (psi), a car has a load of 28-30 psi, an elephant 50-100 psi, and a 125 lb woman with high heels steps on a floor with 2000 psi.

Hardwood Tip #2

Throw rugs or mats at entrances and in front of sinks, refrigerators, and other areas of regular activity will help to save the sheen and finish on your hardwood floors.

Hardwood Tip #3

Be sure to put felt pads under all chair legs, table legs, and other furniture pieces that sit on hardwood floors.

Hardwood Tip #4
